Representatives Martin, Pillich, Adams, J., Adams, R., Antonio, Beck, Blair, Brenner, Butler, Driehaus, Fedor, Gardner, Garland, Hackett, Letson, Milkovich, O'Brien, Patmon, Ramos, Rosenberger, Stebelton, Szollosi, Uecker, Yuko 

Honoring Janet C. Wolfenbarger as the first female four-star general of the United States Air Force.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Janet C. Wolfenbarger on her promotion to the rank of general in the United States Air Force; and

       WHEREAS,  Throughout thirty-two years of distinguished service with the U.S. Air Force, Janet Wolfenbarger has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing her duties and fulfilling her responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Previously assigned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for eighteen years, she helped to manage the F-22 and B-2 programs and served as vice commander of the Air Force Materiel Command, and after nine months at the Pentagon as an acquisition executive, she is returning to the base as commander of the Air Force Materiel Command and being promoted to the rank of general, the first woman to hold that rank in the Air Force; and 

       WHEREAS,  Over the years, Janet Wolfenbarger has clearly shown the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society. Always sincere and energetic in her approach to her work, she has distinguished herself as a conscientious and responsible individual, and she is truly deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  The heroic traditions of our armed forces are an important part of our country's heritage, and by striving to perpetuate and preserve this legacy, Janet Wolfenbarger has earned the respect of all those with whom she has served and the gratitude of Americans everywhere. Indeed, she has the satisfaction of knowing that she has provided a valuable service to our state and nation and has established a record of achievement that stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Janet C. Wolfenbarger on her promotion and salute her as a fine citizen; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Janet C. Wolfenbarger.
