A RESOLUTION
Honoring Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School as a 2012 GRAMMY Signature School.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School on being named a 2012 GRAMMY Signature School in the Enterprise Award category by the GRAMMY Foundation; and |
| WHEREAS, Established in 1998, the GRAMMY Signature Schools program honors top public high schools for their outstanding commitment to music education, and this prestigious accolade is a fitting tribute to Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School, for it was one of only eighteen schools nationwide that was designated as a GRAMMY Signature School. Fort Hayes was honored in the Enterprise Award category for the efforts it made as an economically underserved institution, and its success is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on the school itself but also on its faculty, staff, and students and on the Greater Columbus community; and |
| WHEREAS, With an unwavering dedication to educational excellence, the faculty, staff, and administration of Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School have worked diligently to offer students a well-balanced curriculum that seeks to develop their musical talents in addition to their academic, emotional, social, and physical capabilities. These fine professionals have earned the respect and gratitude of the community, and they are truly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Education is vital to our nation's continued social and economic well-being, and as the need for global learning and understanding increases, so do the demands placed upon our system of education. Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School has consistently and effectively met these demands, and we are certain that its teachers and administrators will maintain their unfaltering efforts to help students become capable, well-rounded individuals; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School on its national accolade and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School. |
