A RESOLUTION

Honoring William J. Bauer II on being named the 2012 ODRC Correction Officer of the Year.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to William J. Bauer II on being presented with the 2012 Ronald C. Marshall Award as Correction Officer of the Year by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this distinction is an honor of which William Bauer can be proud, for he was chosen for his diligence, enthusiasm, and sterling work ethic, as well as for his unwavering dedication to excellence. A correction officer at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility since 2000, he has served as an assistant oleoresin capsicum coordinator and a member of the SOCF Special Response and DRC Special Tactics and Response teams and the Weapons and Reducing Prison Violence committees, and he has striven to fulfill his myriad goals in a competent and responsible manner. We applaud him on his tremendous work; and |
| WHEREAS, William Bauer's efforts have helped to guarantee a high level of success for all projects with which he has been involved and have earned him numerous accolades, including the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility Officer of the Month Award in July 2011. It is through the commitment of professionals such as he that the State of Ohio continues to prosper and remains responsive to the needs of its communities; and |
| WHEREAS, The exemplary manner in which William Bauer has fulfilled his myriad responsibilities at every post to which he has been assigned, including his current duties at the metal detector at Control Center 3, has gained him the appreciation of his peers and the gratitude of those whom he has so capably served. He is certainly to be commended for his outstanding performance on the job and his commitment to carrying out his assignments; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate William J. Bauer II as the 2012 ODRC Correction Officer of the Year and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to William J. Bauer II. |
