A RESOLUTION

Honoring the Mount Vernon YMCA Rockets junior cheerleading squad as a 2012 All-Star Cheerleading Champion.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Mount Vernon YMCA Rockets junior cheerleading squad on placing first in the recreation division of the All-Star Cheerleading Competition at the 2012 Arnold Sports Exhibition; and

       WHEREAS,  Each member of the Mount Vernon YMCA Rockets junior cheerleading squad is an excellent young athlete, combining personal ability and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable dedication, members Megan Wise, William Fields, Logan Higgins, Jordan Lint, Tina Ihinger, Tia Rhinebolt, Abby Johnson, Taylor Williamson, Bethany Snyder, Julia Williamson, Megan Porter, Aly Miller, Janet Henson, Joy Goodman, Makenzy Groom, Amaya Khalil, Maria Zarley, Julia Staten, Ashley Berg, and Kierston Stone have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in cheerleading, and consequently, they won the recreation division of this year's All-Star Cheerleading Competition at the Arnold Sports Exhibition; and 

       WHEREAS,  Their enthusiastic spirit and love of sports has led the members of the YMCA Rockets to participate in many activities, and they have served as an inspiration to their peers. Their accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on them but also on their families, their coaches, and the State of Ohio, and they are, indeed, deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are also pleased to pay tribute to coaches Michele Snyder, Jamie Burris, Chelsea Carpenter, and Joy Niles. In leading their squad to victory, they have not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the fullest, but they have also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Mount Vernon YMCA Rockets junior cheerleading squad on its recent accolade and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Mount Vernon YMCA Rockets junior cheerleading squad.
