A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Warren G. Harding High School Quiz Bowl team on winning the 2012 State Championship.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Warren G. Harding High School Quiz Bowl team as the 2012 State Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, An intelligent and motivated group of individuals, the members of the Warren G. Harding High School Quiz Bowl team are worthy of recognition. Under the capable leadership of their coach, Kim Hunter, the students strove to develop their knowledge and skills, and consequently, they secured first place with a 12-1 record at this year's Quiz Bowl State Competition and qualified for the national tournament; and |
| WHEREAS, In preparing themselves for this important contest, the members of the Warren G. Harding High School Quiz Bowl team have had the opportunity to develop and express their individual abilities and to acquire knowledge and information that will be of great benefit to them throughout their lives. Having worked diligently to sharpen their skills, they confronted competition with confidence and enthusiasm and distinguished themselves as worthy representatives of their school, community, and state; and |
| WHEREAS, The accomplishments of the Warren G. Harding High School Quiz Bowl team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on the members but also on their families, their coach, their school, and their community. Amply demonstrating their ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence, Michael Coates, Joseph Angelo, Korey Gall, and Sam Eartly have truly displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to achieve superior results, and through their tremendous efforts, these young people have set an example for others to emulate; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor the Warren G. Harding High School Quiz Bowl team on its outstanding attainment and applaud all those who have aided in its success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Warren G. Harding High School Quiz Bowl team. |
