A RESOLUTION
Honoring the City of Findlay on its Two Hundredth Anniversary.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the City of Findlay on its Bicentennial; and |
| WHEREAS, This special anniversary provides a fitting time to honor the City of Findlay, for over the past two hundred years, its residents have been actively involved in, and concerned about, the events in their community. Since its establishment, the city has since experienced dramatic growth and change, and yet, even as its citizens have exuberantly embraced the promise of a bright future, they have never relinquished their appreciation for the worthiest virtues of the past; and |
| WHEREAS, Two centuries after it was founded, the City of Findlay still radiates vitality and optimism. The city is a place of many engaging qualities, and its schools, businesses, and civic organizations both embody and thrive upon the values of which our flag is an emblem; and |
| WHEREAS, Every state depends upon such vibrant, durable communities as the City of Findlay for its own survival and stability. Without sacrificing their sense of tradition in the name of progress, the people of the city have nurtured a fresh perspective and a positive outlook that endear this distinctive place to all who know it well; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the City of Findlay on its Bicentennial and salute all those taking part in this joyous celebration; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the City of Findlay. |
