Honoring the Tribune Chronicle on its Bicentennial.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Tribune Chronicle on the auspicious occasion of its Two Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated June 8-9, 2012; and |
| WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the Tribune Chronicle, for throughout the past two centuries, this noteworthy publication has become known for its timely and informative articles, as well as for its exceptional design, production, and business practices. On June 9, 1812, a fledgling newspaper was printed and published in the Western Reserve, and the Tribune Chronicle is directly connected to that predecessor; and |
| WHEREAS, Over the years, the Tribune Chronicle has provided comprehensive coverage of current events at the local, state, national, and international levels, while maintaining the flexibility necessary to meet the changing needs and interests of area readers. Entertaining, educational, and informative, this outstanding newspaper has earned the loyalty of a large and ever-increasing readership, and it has certainly distinguished itself as one of Ohio's finest news publications; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of any newspaper depends largely on the dedication and hard work of its management and staff. For their integrity, skill, and unwavering commitment to excellence, all those associated with the Tribune Chronicle are truly worthy of acknowledgement; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Tribune Chronicle on its Two Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Tribune Chronicle. |
