A RESOLUTION
Representatives Stautberg, Reece
Honoring Sarah Catlin as the 2010 United States Coach of the Year in high school field hockey.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Sarah Catlin on receiving the 2010 United States Coach of the Year Award in high school field hockey by TopOfTheCircle.com; and |
WHEREAS, As the head coach of the St. Ursula Academy field hockey team, Sarah Catlin has demonstrated remarkable integrity and dedication. Throughout the season, she has not only encouraged each player to develop her talents to the fullest but also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, camaraderie, and spirit. As a result, the unstoppable Bulldogs defeated a tough Thomas Worthington squad by the score of 1-0 to win the 2010 Ohio High School Athletic Association State Championship, their first such title in school history, and finished with an impressive 14-5-1 record; and |
WHEREAS, The expertise, guidance, and sound judgment of coaches such as Sarah Catlin are critical to the ultimate success of any athletic endeavor. Due largely to her tireless efforts, the Bulldogs have emerged as winners, both in and out of competition, and she has earned the genuine respect and admiration of many; and |
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Coach Catlin for a job well-done. Her outstanding rapport with her players, as well as with her fellow coaches, has been a vital factor in the Bulldogs' accomplishments, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Sarah Catlin as the 2010 United States Coach of the Year and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sarah Catlin. |
