A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Medina High School girls lacrosse team as the 2012 Division I State Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Medina High School girls lacrosse team on winning the 2012 Ohio High School Lacrosse Association Division I State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Medina High School girls lacrosse team have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, the Bees worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they defeated a tough Upper Arlington team by the score of 10-9 and secured this year's OHSLA Division I State Championship title; and |
| WHEREAS, All those associated with the Medina High School girls lacrosse team have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors, and their prowess is reflected in their outstanding success. Indeed, the players have established themselves as winners, both in and out of competition, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these notable athletes and their extraordinary coach, Amanda Wilson, for a job well done. The maturity and experience the players have gained through participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Medina High School girls lacrosse team on its tremendous 2012 season and salute its members and coach as fine Ohioans; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Medina High School girls lacrosse team. |
