A RESOLUTION
Honoring Madison Martin as a 2012 Division I State Swimming Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Madison Martin on winning the 100-yard butterfly event at the 2012 Division I State Swimming and Diving Championships; and |
| WHEREAS, A junior at Pickerington Central High School, Madison Martin has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently to attain ultimate proficiency in swimming, and as a result, she won the 100-yard butterfly event with a time of 54.27 seconds at this year's Division I State Swimming and Diving Championships; and |
| WHEREAS, Madison Martin's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coach, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Madison Martin on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience that she has gained through her participation in sports will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Madison Martin on her achievements and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Madison Martin. |
