Honoring Eric D. Fingerhut for his outstanding service as chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Chancellor Eric D. Fingerhut for his loyal service to the Ohio Board of Regents; and |
WHEREAS, Eric Fingerhut is a remarkable individual, for he has combined civic concern and dedication with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the State of Ohio. Among his endeavors, he practiced law privately and with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland Older Person's Law Office, served as a member of the Ohio Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, and held the post of director of economic development education and entrepreneurship at Baldwin-Wallace College before being appointed chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents in 2007, and he was instrumental in developing Ohio's 10-year Strategic Plan for Higher Education; and |
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Eric Fingerhut has clearly shown the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and responsible Ohioan, and he is truly deserving of high praise; and |
WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed efforts and deep commitment of diligent people such as Eric Fingerhut that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Over the years, he has striven to serve his fellow citizens to the best of his ability, and we applaud him on his fine work; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Eric D. Fingerhut on his years of state service and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Eric D. Fingerhut. |
