A RESOLUTION
Honoring the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio on its Seventy-fifth Anniversary.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio on the Seventy-fifth Anniversary of its founding, celebrated September 1, 2012; and |
| WHEREAS, A cohesive group of committed and motivated members and staff, the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio has had a significant impact on the community. Since its establishment in 1937, the organization has provided pensions for non-teaching public school employees in Ohio and has been involved with many beneficial programs and activities. Over the years, it has grown to become the 61st largest public pension system in the country, with more than 192,500 members; and |
| WHEREAS, All those associated with SERS are to be commended for their foresight, dedication, and selfless donations of time, energy, and ability far beyond what was required or expected. These fine people have gained the esteem and admiration of many and have set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, The School Employees Retirement System of Ohio's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the agency itself but also on its astute management, on its hard-working employees, and on the State of Ohio. Without a doubt, SERS has enhanced the quality of life in our society, and its contributions have earned it the gratitude and respect of many. We are certain that as this worthy retirement system maintains its dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, with great satisfaction, we extend special recognition to the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio on its Seventy-fifth Anniversary and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio. |
