A RESOLUTION
Honoring Miguel Cepeda as a 2012 Division I State Boys Doubles Tennis Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Miguel Cepeda on winning the 2012 Division I State Championship in boys doubles tennis; and |
| WHEREAS, A junior at Mason High School, Miguel Cepeda has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in tennis, and as a result, he and his partner, Luke Tsai, defeated a tough Bellbrook pair by the score of 6-4, 6-3 to win this year's Division I State Doubles Championship title; and |
| WHEREAS, Miguel Cepeda's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammate, his coach, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to excellence has earned him this well-deserved distinction, and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Miguel Cepeda on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in tennis will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Miguel Cepeda on his personal success and salute him as one of Ohio's finest young athletes; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Miguel Cepeda. |
