A RESOLUTION
Honoring Destinee Gause as a 2012 Division I State Track and Field Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Destinee Gause on winning the 100-meter and 200-meter dash events at the 2012 Division I State Track and Field Championships; and |
| WHEREAS, A senior at Reynoldsburg High School, Destinee Gause has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in running, and as a result, she won this year's Division I State Championship in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash events; and |
| WHEREAS, In addition, Destinee Gause was a member of her school's 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams, which also won first place at the state meet, and her accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coach, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Destinee Gause on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Destinee Gause on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Destinee Gause. |
