Honoring the Little Miami High School Women's Chorale on winning a silver medal at the 2012 World Choir Games.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Little Miami High School Women's Chorale as a silver medalist in the champions division of Youth Choirs for Equal Voices at the 2012 World Choir Games; and |
| WHEREAS, The Little Miami High School Women's Chorale is deserving of high praise for its outstanding performance at this year's World Choir Games, where it won a silver medal in the champions division of Youth Choirs for Equal Voices. Under the capable guidance of its director, Sarah Baker, this talented group of individuals has become known as one of the finest girls' choirs in the world, and it is deserving of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, Participation in chorus provides a unique opportunity for students to develop their skills and enjoy a special camaraderie, while learning the true value of preparation, practice, and cooperation. Indeed, the chorale members have displayed exceptional vocal ability, as well as the confidence and training that helped them earn this well-deserved honor; and |
| WHEREAS, The Little Miami High School Women's Chorale has achieved the balance, blend, and harmony that are the hallmarks of superior performance. Director Sarah Baker has not only encouraged these fine young people to develop their talents to the fullest but has also instilled in them a valuable sense of discipline and an appreciation of music that will benefit them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Little Miami High School Women's Chorale on its recent accolade and salute its members and their director as fine Ohio citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Little Miami High School Women's Chorale. |
