A RESOLUTION



Representatives Brenner, Gonzales 

Honoring Jack Lint as a 2012 USA Track and Field National Junior Olympic Champion.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Jack Lint on his exemplary performance at the 2012 USA Track and Field National Junior Olympic Championships; and

       WHEREAS,  A junior at Columbus Academy and a member of the Flying J's club team, Jack Lint has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result, he won the decathlon and the 400-meter event and placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles in the 15-16 age group at this year's USATF National Junior Olympic Championships; and 

       WHEREAS,  Jack Lint's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his coaches, his school, his club, and his community. His unwavering commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Jack Lint on his record of achievement. Indeed, the same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in track and field will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Jack Lint on his personal success and salute him as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jack Lint.
