Honoring the Sandusky County Special Olympics softball team as the 2012 Division III State Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Sandusky County Special Olympics softball team on winning the 2012 Division III State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Sandusky County Special Olympics softball team have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, the Rebels have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in softball, and as a result, they defeated a tough Columbiana County Special Olympics team to win this year's Division III State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The Rebels' achievements and leadership are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their families, their community, and their coach. The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of the coach to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading her team to victory, Coach Kim Walter has not only helped each athlete to develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and |
| WHEREAS, The Sandusky County Special Olympics softball team has exemplified the qualities necessary for excellence in sports. Through their participation in athletic competition, these fine people have learned lessons of hard work and perseverance that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Sandusky County Special Olympics softball team for exemplary achievement and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sandusky County Special Olympics softball team. |
