Representatives Maag, Beck
Honoring the Lebanon High School drumline on winning the 2012 WGI Scholastic A World Championship.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Lebanon High School drumline as the 2012 Mid East Performance Association Champion and the 2012 Winter Guard International Scholastic A World Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Lebanon High School drumline have distinguished themselves as a group of extremely gifted performers, and as a result, they won all but one of the competitions they entered during 2012, including securing the Mid East Performance Association and Winter Guard International Scholastic A World championships. Under the astute guidance of their director, Dave Iannelli, these musicians have brought joy to the many people who have had the opportunity to witness their performances; and |
| WHEREAS, Over the years, the Lebanon High School drumline has excelled in its endeavors, and all those who have been involved with the program are to be commended for their exemplary performances. Indeed, these musicians have brought joy to the many people who have had the opportunity to hear them play, and they have set an example worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, Music is an integral component of our heritage, helping people to communicate across national, cultural, and social barriers, as well as uniting performers and audiences in a meaningful, shared experience. The members of the Lebanon High School drumline have imparted the richness and beauty of music to citizens throughout the area, and they are worthy of recognition; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Lebanon High School drumline on its remarkable accomplishments and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Lebanon High School drumline. |
