A RESOLUTION
Honoring Deborah Turner as the 2012 CEAO Teacher of the Year.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Deborah Turner on being presented with the 2012 Teacher of the Year Award by the Correctional Education Association of Ohio; and |
| WHEREAS, Receiving the CEAO Teacher of the Year Award is a fine reflection on Deborah Turner, for she has established a record of achievement that is worthy of emulation. A former adult basic and literacy education teacher with Perry County Educational Services Center, she has served as an adult basic education/general educational development teacher at the Southeastern Correctional Institution for thirteen years, and it is only fitting that someone with her outstanding talent and perseverance be recognized for the contributions she has made, again and again; and |
| WHEREAS, Motivated by a deep concern for others, Deborah Turner has excelled at making learning enjoyable for the students in her classroom. A patient and generous individual, she has encouraged many people to develop their scholastic abilities and has instilled within them an appreciation of the importance of education that will benefit them throughout their lives; and |
| WHEREAS, Deborah Turner has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to performing her duties and fulfilling her responsibilities with exceptional creativity and the utmost competence. Willingly giving freely of her time and talent to students and teachers alike, she has earned the well-deserved reputation as an enthusiastic advocate of educational excellence. She has constructively shaped the lives of numerous individuals by helping them to explore their interests and strengths so that they will be prepared to meet the challenges of the future with confidence and success; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Deborah Turner on being named the CEAO 2012 Teacher of the Year and wish her the best in her future endeavors; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Deborah Turner. |
