A RESOLUTION
Honoring the City of Westerville as a 2012 Healthy Ohio-Healthy Community.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the City of Westerville on being presented with a 2012 Healthy Ohio-Healthy Community Platinum Award by the Ohio Department of Health; and |
| WHEREAS, This prestigious honor is a fitting tribute to the City of Westerville, for this fine community has achieved a praiseworthy record of implementing health-related policies and providing healthy environments. Westerville has received the Healthy Ohio-Healthy Community Platinum designation for attaining five or more gold stars since the inception of the program in 2006, and this accomplishment is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on the city itself but also on its residents; and |
| WHEREAS, America is only as strong as her individual communities, which are unique and make a significant contribution to the culture of our state and nation. Throughout its history, the City of Westerville has become known for its residents' cooperation, integrity, and willingness to work hard--exemplary qualities that are still manifested by its citizens today; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout its existence, the City of Westerville has enjoyed the benefits of a generous and civic-minded population, and those who currently make the city their home take great pride in their community and its rich heritage. Their efforts have certainly made the area a pleasant and friendly place in which to live and work; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the City of Westerville on this special accolade and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the City of Westerville. |
