A RESOLUTION



  Speaker Batchelder  Representatives Anielski, Baker, Dovilla 

Honoring Richard R. Hollington, Jr. as a member of the James A. Garfield Hall of Fame Class of 2012.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Honorable Richard R. Hollington, Jr., as an inductee of the 2012 James A. Garfield Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County; and

       WHEREAS,  Richard Hollington has helped to guarantee a high level of success for all projects with which he has been associated, and he has striven to fulfill the myriad goals of the Republican Party in a competent and responsible manner. Indeed, this fine distinction honors him for his exemplary service to the party; and 

       WHEREAS,  Richard Hollington is the mayor of the Village of Hunting Valley and a former legislator for the Ohio House of Representatives and senior partner with the law firm of Baker and Hostetler, and he is a past corporate litigator, lead director for Sky Financial Group, law director for the City of Cleveland, finance director for Hunting Valley, and a member of FDIC Advisory Committee on Banking Policy and the Ohio Banking Commission. In addition, he has been involved in many civic organizations, including Cleveland State University, The University of Findlay, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Cleveland Zoological Society, the Cleveland City Club Forum Foundation, and the Greater Cleveland Hospital Association, and he is worthy of emulation for his efforts; and

       WHEREAS,  Whether occupying center stage or working diligently in the wings, Richard Hollington has always made his dynamic, supportive presence felt. To his credit, he has shown how very much can be accomplished by a conscientious, industrious person, and we applaud him on his tremendous work; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the Honorable Richard R. Hollington, Jr., on his record of service and extend best wishes for peace and prosperity; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Honorable Richard R. Hollington, Jr.
