A RESOLUTION
Representatives Maag, Beck
Honoring Jacquelyn Crow as a 2012 Division I State Cross Country Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Jacquelyn Crow on placing first at the 2012 Division I State Cross Country Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Jacquelyn Crow has clearly demonstrated her talent and perseverance, as well as her mental and physical fortitude as a long distance runner. As this year's Division I State Champion, she finished the race with a time of 17:39.31, and she has exemplified the courage, determination, and innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world; and |
| WHEREAS, Long distance running is an event that requires exceptional stamina and natural ability, and Jacquelyn Crow is to be commended for her commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining her athletic goals, she has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks of a true champion; and |
| WHEREAS, In displaying such exceptional ability as a member of the Lebanon High School cross country team, Jacquelyn Crow has earned the appreciation of her fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even her most determined rivals. Competition in athletics has enabled her to learn much about dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to acknowledge her outstanding record of achievement; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute Jacquelyn Crow as a 2012 Division I State Cross Country Champion and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jacquelyn Crow. |
