Honoring Carole Morbitzer as the 2013 Ohio Teacher of the Year.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Carole Morbitzer on being named the 2013 Ohio Teacher of the Year; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which Carole Morbitzer can be justly proud, for she has been recognized for her exceptional skill, commitment, and professionalism. Joining the Hamilton Local School District in 2006, she is currently a math teacher, a coach for the volleyball team, and a new teacher mentor at Hamilton Township High School, and she has also served as the leader of the school math department and the district's math teachers. Previously working in the Reynoldsburg City School District, she has striven to channel the natural energy and curiosity of students into meaningful inquiry, thereby helping them to gain a better understanding of the world around them, and by presenting lessons in an interesting and comprehensible manner, she has consistently inspired them to excel; and |
| WHEREAS, The recipient of numerous accolades, including the 2011 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching and the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award from Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Carole Morbitzer has made many significant contributions to improving the quality of life in our society. Indeed, her noteworthy record of achievement shows the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the community, and we applaud her on her fine work; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout her career in the field of education, Carole Morbitzer has supported countless students in their scholastic endeavors and has helped to nurture within them a desire for excellence. Her unstinting contributions of time, talent, and seemingly inexhaustible energy to students and teachers alike have earned her the respect and appreciation of everyone with whom she has been associated, and her work stands as the hallmark of concerned and responsible citizenship; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Carole Morbitzer as the 2013 Ohio Teacher of the Year and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Carole Morbitzer. |
