| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to The Ohio State University football team on its undefeated 2012 season; and |
| WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of Coach Urban Meyer, The Ohio State University football team has proven to be a talented and superbly conditioned squad and has gained the respect of fans and opponents alike for the spirited and highly motivated play of its members. Throughout the season, each player worked diligently to improve his skills on the gridiron, and as a result, the Buckeyes accomplished their goal of finishing with a perfect 12-0 record; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of The Ohio State University football team have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. They are a credit not only to their families, their school, and their community but also to the superb coaching of their mentor, Urban Meyer; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of the coaches to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading their team to victory, Coach Urban Meyer and his assistants have not only helped each athlete to develop his talents to the fullest but also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie. We are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coaches for a job well done; therefore be it |
