A RESOLUTION
Honoring Gary Strain as the 2012 All-Ohio Division VI Offensive Co-Player of the Year in football.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Gary Strain on being named the 2012 All-Ohio Division VI Offensive Co-Player of the Year in football by The Associated Press; and |
| WHEREAS, A senior at Mogadore High School, Gary Strain has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in football, and as a result, he rushed for 2,199 yards and scored thirty-three touchdowns this season and led the Wildcats to a 13-1 record and this year's Division VI State semifinals; and |
| WHEREAS, Gary Strain's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his coach, Matt Adorni, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to excellence has earned him 2012 All-Ohio Division VI Offensive Co-Player of the Year honors from The Associated Press, and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Gary Strain on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in football will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Gary Strain as a 2012 All-Ohio Division VI Offensive Co-Player of the Year and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Gary Strain. |
