Honoring The Ohio State University women's basketball team as the 2011 Big Ten Conference Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate The Ohio State University women's basketball team on wining the 2010 Big Ten Conference Champion and advancing to the NCAA Tournament; and |
| WHEREAS, Known as a hard-driving and spirited squad, The Ohio State University women's basketball team has developed into an efficient group of highly skilled athletes whose talent is equaled only by their commendable display of teamwork. It is our sincere hope that their tireless efforts will inspire others to dedicate themselves similarly; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of The Ohio State University women's basketball team have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors, and their athletic prowess is reflected in their first-place finish in the Big Ten Conference and in progressing to the Sweet Sixteen semifinals of the NCAA Tournament. Indeed, the Lady Buckeyes have established themselves as winners, both in and out of competition, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, The Ohio State University women's basketball team has exemplified the qualities necessary for excellence in sports, including strength, stamina, agility, and perseverance. Through their participation in athletic competition, these fine women have learned lessons of hard work and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend The Ohio State University women's basketball team on its tremendous 2011 season and salute the athletes and coach as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State University women's basketball team. |
