A RESOLUTION

Honoring the University School swim team as the 2011 Division II State Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the University School swim team on winning the 2011 Division II State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The University School swim team is to be commended, for throughout their triumphant season, the Preppers have epitomized the speed, agility, stamina, and skill that befit authentic champions. Their victories over a host of talented opponents underscore the athletic prowess and indomitable spirit of every member of the squad, and it is no surprise that their maturity and determination have earned them so many admirers; and |
| WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of Coach Brian Perry, these gifted athletes have diligently applied themselves to the quest for excellence in the pool, devoting countless hours to rigorous training in order to ensure peak conditioning. Clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends, as the Preppers earned 377 points and brought home their third consecutive Division II State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the University School swim team have learned lessons of perseverance and hard work that will certainly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the University School swim team for outstanding achievement and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the University School swim team. |
