A RESOLUTION | Honoring Emma McLaughlin as the 2012 Ohio "Doodle 4 Google" winner. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Emma McLaughlin on being named Ohio's winner of the 2012 Google "Doodle 4 Google" contest; and |
| WHEREAS, A student at Athens High School, Emma McLaughlin has worked diligently to develop her abilities, and as a result, her design for a front page doodle for Google's website was selected as this year's statewide winner for Ohio, qualifying her for the national "Doodle 4 Google" contest. Her entry reflects her exceptional artistic aptitude as well as her creativity and imagination, and she has certainly used her talents in a worthwhile endeavor; and |
| WHEREAS, With self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Emma McLaughlin has striven to increase her capabilities. Through her decisive leadership, she has distinguished herself as a conscientious and responsible individual, and we are certain that she will continue to display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which she has become known; and |
| WHEREAS, Emma McLaughlin's accomplishment is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her community, and the State of Ohio. She has exhibited a sincere desire to fully develop her knowledge and skills so that she might fulfill her goals in the future, and this, coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Emma McLaughlin for outstanding achievement and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Emma McLaughlin. |
