A RESOLUTION | Honoring Tom Culbertson on his retirement as the executive director of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Tom Culbertson on the memorable occasion of his retirement as the executive director of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career, Tom Culbertson has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. A veteran of the U.S. Army and a former stockbroker, he joined the staff of Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center as a manuscripts curator in 1988, advancing though such posts as head of history and education before becoming the executive director in 2005, and during his tenure, he has been instrumental in the restoration of the Hayes Presidential Home; and |
| WHEREAS, Tom Culbertson is a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the Fremont community. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has given generously of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and |
| WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and expertise Tom Culbertson has shown in his endeavors have earned him the respect of all those with whom he has been associated. As he retires, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has provided a valuable service to the community and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Tom Culbertson on his retirement and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tom Culbertson. |
