A RESOLUTION | Honoring the Minster High School baseball team on winning the 2012 Division IV State Championship. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Minster High School baseball team as the 2012 Division IV State Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, Each member of the Minster High School baseball team is an excellent young athlete, and Coach Mike Wiss has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding this group to victory. This season, the Wildcats were victorious over opponents from Cuyahoga Heights High School, winning the 2012 Division IV State Championship, their second consecutive state championship title. The unwavering commitment of the team members and their coach has earned them this prestigious honor, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Minster High School baseball team have established themselves as a truly exceptional squad, and they have emerged as winners both in and out of athletic competition. Mike Wiss' skill as a coach is reflected in the Wildcats outstanding success, and due largely to his tireless efforts, he has earned the respect and admiration of all who know him; and |
| WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the Minster High School baseball team have learned lessons of self-discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Minster High School baseball team on winning the 2012 Division IV State Championship and salute all those who contributed to its success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Minster High School and to Coach Mike Wiss. |
