A RESOLUTION | Honoring Jessica Porvasnik as the 2012 Division I State Champion in girls golf. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Jessica Porvasnik on winning the 2012 Division I State Championship in girls golf; and |
| WHEREAS, A senior at Highland High School, Jessica Porvasnik has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in golf, and as a result, she won this year's Division I State Championship title; and |
| WHEREAS, Jessica Porvasnik's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coach, Mary Becker, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and admiration of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Jessica Porvasnik on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in golf will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Jessica Porvasnik for outstanding achievement and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jessica Porvasnik. |
