A RESOLUTION | Honoring Paula Athey on her retirement. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Paula Athey on the memorable occasion of her retirement from the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, October 19, 2012; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout more than thirty-two years of distinguished service with the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, Paula Athey has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing her duties and fulfilling her responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Commencing her tenure in 1978, she has served in the LSC Bill Room in the Statehouse, and she is truly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Paula Athey is a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic member of the community, and among her endeavors, she has participated in the annual Susan G. Komen walk for breast cancer. Always sincere and energetic in her approach to her work, she has given generously of her time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and |
| WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and expertise Paula Athey has shown in her efforts have earned her the respect and appreciation of all those with whom she has worked. As she retires, she has the satisfaction of knowing that she has provided a valuable service to the state and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Paula Athey on her retirement and salute her as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Paula Athey. |
