A RESOLUTION | Honoring Hannah Wexner and Andrea Ballinger as the 2012 Division II State Champions in girls doubles tennis. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Hannah Wexner and Andrea Ballinger on winning the 2012 Division II State Championship in girls doubles tennis; and |
| WHEREAS, Students at Columbus Academy, Hannah Wexner and Andrea Ballinger have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional athletes. With admirable dedication, they have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in tennis, and as a result, they defeated a tough Gates Mills pair by the score of 6-2, 6-3 to win this year's Division II State Doubles Championship title; and |
| WHEREAS, The accomplishments and leadership of Hannah Wexner and Andrea Ballinger, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on them but also on their family, their teammates, their coach, Megan Martzolf, their school, and their community. Their unwavering commitment to excellence has earned them this well-deserved distinction, and they are certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Hannah Wexner and Andrea Ballinger on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience they have gained through their participation in tennis will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Hannah Wexner and Andrea Ballinger as 2012 Division II State Champions and salute them as two of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit duly authenticated copies of this Resolution to Hannah Wexner and Andrea Ballinger. |
