A RESOLUTION
Honoring the City of Grandview Heights Finance Department on receiving an Auditor of State Award with Distinction.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the City of Grandview Heights Finance Department on being presented with an Auditor of State Award with Distinction from Ohio Auditor of State Dave Yost; and

       WHEREAS,  It is not surprising that the City of Grandview Heights Finance Department has been accorded this prestigious honor in recognition of its timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial statements. Grandview Heights has received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada every year since 2004, and this latest distinction is a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the department itself but also on its hard-working staff, including its finance director, Robert Dvoraczky, its assistant finance director, Megan Miller, and its accountant, Kathy Kovacs, and on the entire community; and

       WHEREAS,  The fine reputation that the City of Grandview Heights Finance Department has gained is a credit to its devoted employees, and it is our sincere hope that their unwavering dedication to excellence will continue long into the future. All those who were instrumental in the city receiving an Auditor of State Award with Distinction can be held in high regard for their remarkable efficiency and precision, as well as for their astute professionalism; and

       WHEREAS,  The City of Grandview Heights Finance Department has certainly proven itself to be fiscally responsible, and through its unfaltering commitment, it has earned the respect and appreciation of many. By applauding the agency for its financial diligence, we note with pride that it is through the efforts of such exemplary public employees as all those associated with Grandview Heights that the State of Ohio continues to prosper and remains a pleasant place to live and work; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the City of Grandview Heights Finance Department on its recent accolade and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the City of Grandview Heights Finance Department.
