A RESOLUTION | Honoring The Ohio State University football team on its undefeated season. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate The Ohio State University football team on an exceptional 2012 season; and |
| WHEREAS, Known as a hard-driving and spirited squad, The Ohio State University football team has developed into an efficient group of highly skilled athletes whose talent is equaled only by their remarkable display of teamwork. With admirable dedication, the players have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they completed their season with an undefeated record of 12-0; and |
| WHEREAS, The accomplishments and leadership of The Ohio State University football team, both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on the members but also on their families, their coach, Urban Meyer, their school, and their community. The maturity and experience the players have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; and |
| WHEREAS, The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring ability, endurance, teamwork, and a positive attitude on the part of players and coaches alike. The members of The Ohio State University football team have exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both on and off the field, including courage, discipline, integrity, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship, and their efforts have earned them the admiration of all those who have witnessed these outstanding athletes in action; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend The Ohio State University football team on an exemplary season and salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
