A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Upper Arlington High School girls tennis team as the 2010 Division I State Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Upper Arlington High School girls tennis team on winning the 2010 Division I State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The Upper Arlington High School girls tennis team is, indeed, deserving of high praise for the impressive athletic gifts and the indomitable spirit that each team member has displayed. These young women have successfully combined personal ability with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to secure this year's Division I State Championship title; and |
| WHEREAS, The Golden Bears have exemplified the qualities necessary for excellence in sports, including strength, stamina, agility, and perseverance. Throughout long hours of practice and competition, the squad has consistently demonstrated the talent and motivation that are the hallmarks of a championship team; and |
| WHEREAS, The Upper Arlington High School girls tennis team's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and a commendable reflection on the members, on their coach, Shaun Stamps, and on their school. Through their participation in athletic competition, these fine women have learned lessons of hard work and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, we pay tribute to the Upper Arlington High School girls tennis team as the 2010 Division I State Champion; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Upper Arlington High School girls tennis team. |
