A RESOLUTION | Honoring Savannah Cofer as a 2013 White House Science Fair honoree. |
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Savannah Cofer on being honored at President Barack Obama's White House Science Fair, April 22, 2013; and |
WHEREAS, A freshman at Columbus Academy, Savannah Cofer has striven to develop her capabilities, and consequently, she helped her robotics team, The Incredibots, win a gold medal at the 2012 Christopher Columbus Awards and qualify for the 2013 First Lego League European Open Championship. An intelligent and motivated individual, she has amply demonstrated her ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence and has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to produce superior results. Through her remarkable efforts, she has set an example worthy of emulation, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; and |
WHEREAS, With self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Savannah Cofer has striven to increase her knowledge and skills. Through her decisive leadership, she has distinguished herself as a conscientious and responsible young woman, and we are certain that she will continue to display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which she has become known; and |
WHEREAS, Savannah Cofer's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. She has exhibited a sincere desire to do her best in all of her endeavors so that she might fulfill her goals in the future, and this, coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Savannah Cofer for outstanding achievement and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Savannah Cofer. |
