A RESOLUTION | Honoring Dylan Dyke as a 2013 Division II State Track and Field Champion. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Dylan Dyke on placing first in the shot put at the 2013 Division II State Track and Field Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Dylan Dyke has clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his mental and physical fortitude as a member of the Waverly High School track and field team. As this year's Division II State Champion in the shot put, with a throw of 62 feet, 5 inches, he has exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world, including courage, determination, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship; and |
| WHEREAS, In displaying such exceptional prowess, Dylan Dyke has earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals. Competition in athletics has enabled him to learn much about dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to acknowledge his exceptional record of achievement; and |
| WHEREAS, The shot put is an event that requires exceptional strength and natural ability, and Dylan Dyke is to be commended for his commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining his athletic goals, he has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Dylan Dyke as the 2013 Division II State Shot Put Champion and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dylan Dyke. |
