A RESOLUTION | Honoring Tom Jenkins on winning a gold medal at the 2013 National Senior Games. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Tom Jenkins on his exemplary performance at the 2013 National Senior Games; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable individual, Tom Jenkins has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in running, and as a result, he won a gold medal in the 200-meter event at this year's National Senior Games; and |
| WHEREAS, Running is an event that requires exceptional stamina and natural ability, and Tom Jenkins is to be applauded for his devotion to this demanding activity. In attaining his athletic goals, he has certainly distinguished himself as a true champion; and |
| WHEREAS, Tom Jenkins' accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on him but also on his family and his community. Indeed, his unwavering commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Tom Jenkins on his personal success and salute him as one of Ohio's top senior athletes; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tom Jenkins. |
