A RESOLUTION | Honoring Nolan Loughry on winning the 2013 Ohio State Scholastic Clay Target Program Championship Shoot. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Nolan Loughry as the 2013 Ohio State Scholastic Clay Target Program Shoot Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, This achievement is truly noteworthy, for Nolan Loughry has clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his mental and physical fortitude as a marksman. The winner of this year's Ohio State Scholastic Clay Target Program Championship Shoot, he achieved a ninety-seven percent accuracy rating by hitting 194 of 200 targets, and he has secured a berth at this year's SCTP National Championship Shoot. Indeed, he has exemplified the courage, determination, and innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world; and |
| WHEREAS, In displaying such exceptional prowess as a competitor in the Scholastic Clay Target Program Shoot competitions, Nolan Loughry has set an example worthy of emulation. A sophomore at Hudson High School and a member of the Chippewa Youth Trapshooting Club team, he has risen to the occasion, maintaining the morale, composure, and tenacity that have earned him many admirers; and |
| WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual effort, athletics has become a valuable tool. With competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Nolan Loughry; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, we congratulate Nolan Loughry on his achievements and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Nolan Loughry. |
