A RESOLUTION | Honoring Jacob Kunkler as a 2013 All-Ohio Division VII Defensive Player of the Year in football. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Jacob Kunkler on being named a 2013 All-Ohio Division VII Defensive Player of the Year in football; and |
| WHEREAS, A diligent and capable young man, Jacob Kunkler is deserving of recognition for his outstanding accomplishments as a member of the Marion Local High School football team. A fine athlete, he accumulated 134 tackles and 5 sacks and received All-Midwest Athletic Conference, Northwest District, and Ohio Division VII defensive player of the year honors this season, and his record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through his participation in football, Jacob Kunkler has learned the important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him throughout his life; and |
| WHEREAS, By developing such remarkable prowess, Jacob Kunkler has earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals. Clearly, he has inspired countless individuals to excel in numerous areas of endeavor; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Jacob Kunkler on his recent accolade and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jacob Kunkler. |
