A RESOLUTION
Honoring OhioGuidestone on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary.

WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to OhioGuidestone as it celebrates its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS,  This is, indeed, an important occasion, and it provides an ideal time to acknowledge the exceptional work done by OhioGuidestone. Established in 1864 as the German Methodist Orphan Asylum, the agency later was renamed the Berea Children's Home and Family Services, and most recently given its current moniker, and it has engaged in an array of worthwhile activities and projects in the areas of residential treatment, parenting, work-force development, and foster care. Serving more than fifteen thousand children and families annually throughout Ohio, this tremendous private, not-for-profit organization has helped families become stronger by addressing each individual's needs, and its impressive contributions to the community readily explain why it is so widely held in high esteem; and

WHEREAS,  All those associated with OhioGuidestone, including its president and chief executive officer, Rich Frank, and its chief operating officer, Donna Keegan, are to be commended for their foresight, dedication, and selfless donations of time, energy, and ability far beyond what was required or expected. These fine people have earned the respect and admiration of many and have set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS,  Founded on the highest ideals of professionalism, OhioGuidestone has distinguished itself by its commitment to excellence. Throughout its history, it has maintained a reputation for integrity, reliability, and devotion to service, and the charitable efforts of its members are deserving of the highest praise; therefore be it

RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate OhioGuidestone on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary and salute its staff and volunteers as outstanding Ohioans; and be it further

RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to OhioGuidestone.
