A RESOLUTION | Honoring David Dinsmore as a 2013 USA Diving Winter National Champion. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate David Dinsmore on winning the men's synchronized ten-meter platform event at the 2013 USA Diving Winter National Championships; and |
| WHEREAS, A junior at New Albany High School and a member of the Ohio State Diving Club, David Dinsmore has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in diving, and as a result, he scored 1,240.6 points to win second place in the men's ten-meter platform event and combined with his partner, Steele Johnson, to score 823.77 points to win first place in the men's synchronized ten-meter platform event at the 2013 USA Diving Winter National Championships. In addition, he scored 557.15 points to win first place in the men's ten-meter platform event to qualify for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games Qualifier and the 2014 Federation Internationale de Natation World Cup and Grand Prix; and |
| WHEREAS, David Dinsmore's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a remarkable reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his coaches, his club, and his community. His unwavering commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to David Dinsmore on his exemplary achievements. Indeed, the same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in diving will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend David Dinsmore on his personal success and salute him as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to David Dinsmore. |
