A RESOLUTION
Honoring Mitchell Stover as a 2014 Division II State Swimming Champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Mitchell Stover on winning the 100-yard butterfly event at the 2014 Division II State Swimming and Diving Championships; and

       WHEREAS,  A senior at Versailles High School, Mitchell Stover has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently to attain ultimate proficiency in swimming, and as a result, he placed first in the 100-yard butterfly event with a time of 50.15 and sixth in the 100-yard backstroke event with a time of 51.93 at this year's Division II State Swimming and Diving Championships; and 

       WHEREAS,  Mitchell Stover's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his coach, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Mitchell Stover on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience that he has gained through his participation in sports will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Mitchell Stover on his achievements and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Mitchell Stover.
