A RESOLUTION | Honoring Samuel Prakel as the 2012 Division III State Cross Country Champion. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Samuel Prakel on placing first at the 2012 Division III State Cross Country Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Samuel Prakel has clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his mental and physical fortitude as a long distance runner. As this year's Division III State Champion with a time of 15:16.62, he has exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world, including courage, determination, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship; and |
| WHEREAS, In displaying such exceptional prowess as a senior member of the Versailles High School cross country team, Samuel Prakel has earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals. Competition in athletics has enabled him to learn much about dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to acknowledge his exceptional record of achievement; and |
| WHEREAS, Long distance running is an event that requires exceptional stamina and natural ability, and Samuel Prakel is to be applaud for his commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining his athletic goals, he has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity which are the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Samuel Prakel as the 2012 Division III State Cross Country Champion and salute him as a fine Ohioan; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Samuel Prakel. |
