A RESOLUTION | Honoring the Tippecanoe High School boys cross country team as the 2014 Division II State Champion. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Tippecanoe High School boys cross country team on winning the 2014 Division II State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The Tippecanoe High School boys cross country team is to be heartily commended, for the Red Devils defeated a host of tough opponents to become this year's Division II State Champion. Without exception, the members prepared conscientiously in pursuit of a tremendous season, devoting countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning, and clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and |
| WHEREAS, To his credit, Coach Byron Kimmel has guided the team with unwavering expertise and encouragement, and he merits enthusiastic praise for coaxing admirable performances out of the Red Devils in each competitive outing. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, the runners have consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, and stamina in every challenging encounter. Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most formidable rivals; and |
| WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a host of adversaries, the members of the Tippecanoe High School boys cross country team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their success is a measure of their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and coach extremely proud; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Tippecanoe High School boys cross country team on its tremendous 2014 season and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Tippecanoe High School boys cross country team. |
