A RESOLUTION | Honoring the Fredericktown High School FFA urban soils team on winning the 2014 FFA State Contest. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Fredericktown High School FFA urban soils team as the 2014 FFA State Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, Under the leadership of their coach, Debra Burden, the members of the Fredericktown High School FFA urban soils team won this year's 4 FFA State Contest and advanced to the national competition. Students Holly McClay, Jacob Lotz, Ryan Matthews, and Milan Pozderac have worked diligently to achieve success, and winning the state championship in their event is a testament to their commitment to this fine organization; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout the school year, the members of the Fredericktown High School FFA urban soils team have shown a sincere desire to fully develop their knowledge and skills so that they might fulfill their goals, and this, coupled with their maturity and initiative, illustrates their potential to become some of tomorrow's leaders. Indeed, they have set an example of excellence that is worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, Through participation in FFA, the members of the Fredericktown High School FFA urban soils team will be better prepared to become productive members of our complex and ever-changing society. The maturity and experience they have gained through their involvement in this program will not only enrich their educational careers but also enable them to make better-informed decisions as they assume the responsibilities of adult citizenship; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Fredericktown High School FFA urban soils team on its state championship and salute its members and coach as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Fredericktown High School FFA urban soils team. |
