A RESOLUTION | Honoring Malia Berkely as the 2014 Ohio Ms. Soccer. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Malia Berkely on being named the 2014 Ms. Soccer by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association; and |
| WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and dedication during the 2014 season, Malia Berkely has certainly distinguished herself as one of the most talented soccer players in the State of Ohio. A junior at Badin High School, she compiled fourteen goals and six assists this season, was named to the All-Greater Catholic League Coed Division first team and the All-Ohio Division III first team as its Player of the Year, and received this year's Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association's Ms. Soccer honor; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Malia Berkely has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion. She has inspired her teammates, thrilled her fans, gained the respect of her opponents, and made her coaches and family very proud; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Malia Berkely on an exemplary season. Through her outstanding efforts, she has inspired countless individuals to excel in various areas of endeavor; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor Malia Berkely as the 2014 Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Ms. Soccer and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
