A RESOLUTION
Honoring the McNicholas High School girls soccer team on winning the 2014 Division II State Championship.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the McNicholas High School girls soccer team on placing first in the 2014 Division II State Tournament; and

       WHEREAS,  Known as a driven and spirited squad, the McNicholas High School girls soccer team has developed into an efficient group of highly skilled athletes whose talent is equaled only by their commendable display of teamwork. They are a credit not only to their families and their school but also to the superb coaching of their mentor, Ben Kirkpatrick and Assistant Coach, Bob Sandmann; and 

       WHEREAS,  Members Abby Gerome, Amy Farr, Anna Pierce, Caitlyn Grooms, Claire Murray, Cristina Egred, Emma Dause, Emma Heise, Grace Moschel, Haleigh Haugh, Kaitlyn Vogele, Karli Thul, Lauren Pearson, Lauren Rice, Meghan Hagenbarth, Megan Kehres, Meghan Martella, Megan Rack, Michaela Shepherd, Miranda Roesel, Sarah Foster, Sidney Schaeper, and Sophie Gorman have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors, and their athletic prowess is reflected in their outstanding success. Indeed, the Rockets have established themselves as winners, both in and out of competition, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  The McNicholas High School girls soccer team has exemplified the qualities necessary for excellence in sports, including strength, stamina, agility, and perseverance, and consequently, they overpowered a solid Archbishop Hoban team by the score of 3-0 to claim this year's Division II State Championship crown. Through their participation in soccer, these fine athletes have learned lessons of hard work and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the McNicholas High School girls soccer team as the 2014 Division II State Champion and applaud all those associated with this exceptional squad; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the McNicholas High School girls soccer team.
