A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION | Honoring Dr. Rusty Clifford as the 2013 Ohio Superintendent of the Year. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Dr. Rusty Clifford on being named the 2013 Ohio Superintendent of the Year by the Buckeye Association of School Administrators; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which Rusty Clifford can be proud, for he has been recognized for his professionalism, communications, leadership for learning, and community involvement. An educator for the past forty-one years, he served the Lebanon and Kettering city school districts before becoming superintendent of the West Carrollton City School District in 1999, and during his tenure, its buildings have been renovated and its Ohio Report Card rating improved from academic emergency in 1998-1999 to excellent in 2010-2011; and |
| WHEREAS, With exceptional skill and commitment, Rusty Clifford has been tireless in his efforts to ensure that all students receive the best possible education. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has displayed an unwavering dedication to attaining the myriad goals of the West Carrollton City School District in a skillful and professional manner, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his career in the field of education, Rusty Clifford has supported countless students in their scholastic endeavors and has helped nurture within them a desire for academic excellence. Willingly giving of his time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, he has earned the respect and gratitude of his colleagues, his community, and, most importantly, his students for his genuine concern for young people; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Dr. Rusty Clifford as Ohio Superintendent of the Year and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dr. Rusty Clifford. |
